Luke Bryan’s performance on the CMT Music Awards on June 8 was hot in more ways than one. The rocking performance featured a group of beautiful backup dancers as performed his latest single, “Country Girl (Shake It For Me). “
The video was so hot, in fact, that Bryan’s name topped Google searches by the end of the night. Bryan’s performance was enjoyed by the sold-out crowd at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. The show was broadcast on CMT and CMT.com. Bryan’s performance was his first solo awards show performance of his career.
He also reached another milestone recently – reaching more than 1.5 million fans on Facebook. The growth in popularity Bryan is enjoying is due to the success of his latest single, as well as the exposure he is receiving from being the opening act on Tim McGraw’s Emotional Traffic tour.
Bryan is set to release his new CD on August 9. The CD will be called “Tailgates and Tanlines” and will feature his current single. Bryan finalized the track selections for the CD last week and he co-wrote eight of the project’s 13 tracks, including “Country Girl (Shake It For Me).”
Bryan’s current single is his fastest-rising single to date. It debuted as the #1 country digital single by selling more than 106,000 copies during the first week.
After Bryan wraps his summer tour with McGraw, he will be headlining his own tour – “CMT ON TOUR – Luke Bryan – Tailgates and Tanlines.”
